Our company was founded four generations
ago, when Nunzio Russo opened his first workshop in Napoli, Italia .

Nunzio was a master goldsmith who created his works to his own
exclusive design. However, as the time went on Nunzio Senior, supported by his skilled son Ciro,
brought to the fore the exquisite craftsmanship of frame mounting.

Today, Renato e Nunzio Russo Junior with the
aid of the sons and of a very competent staff, are carrying on the long run family tradition of
beautiful handmade settings, among which Roman, Filigree and Etruscan represent the
most famous ones.

Sea - Shell Cameos are engraved by
hand with a singular tool called "Bulino".
Frames for Cameos are accurately made by hand as
well.
The art of frame mounting requires a long
apprenticeship period during which the trainees become excellent goldsmithes.

The black and white Seashell Cameos 'cassis
madagascariens' or 'sardonic' come from the Carribean; whilst the creamy coloured shells
called 'cassis ruffa o corneola' come from Madagascar.
The Art of the Cameo engraving, born during sixth
century B. C. in Rome, today grows day by day and maintains a high degree of popularity
all around the World.
